Argos Espresso Machine

This drip tray grate is a redesign of the Argos Espresso Machine’s old grate. This project was aimed to create a better experience for the users and to cut manufacture time and cost while keeping a simple aesthetic.

The Problems

  • The slower manufacturing time increased production costs.

  • The misalignment of the drip tray and the pattern of the grate caused splatter during machine purging. Shot placement was also visually and functionally off-center.

  • Generic aesthetic lacked brand identity.
